Server Builds, Virtualization & Hardening

Reliable, secure servers for Los Angeles, Culver City and Westside businesses, designed around the applications you actually run.

Servers that fit your business

Many small offices run on a server that was set up years ago by someone who has since moved on. It works until a drive fails, an update breaks a shared folder, or ransomware finds an old admin account. We replace that uncertainty with a server that is specified for your workload, configured cleanly, and documented so you always know what is running and why.

Whether you are a dental or medical practice storing imaging files, a design studio moving large project folders, or a property manager running accounting and access-control software, we size the hardware, storage and memory to your real usage rather than a generic template. Where it makes sense, we consolidate several older machines onto a single virtualization host, which lowers power and maintenance costs and makes recovery far faster.

What we deliver

Server Builds

Right-sized tower or rack servers specified for your workload, with redundant drives, ECC memory, and dual power where it matters. Every build is burned in and tested before it reaches your office.

Virtualization

Consolidate aging machines onto a single Hyper-V, VMware or Proxmox host. Virtual machines are easier to back up, restore, and move, and they cut hardware and power costs.

Configuration

Active Directory or Entra ID, file shares and permissions, print services, DNS and DHCP, application servers and databases, all set up cleanly and documented so your team knows what runs where.

Hardening

Security baselines, least-privilege admin accounts, encrypted disks, locked-down remote access, and centralized logging so your server is not the easiest way into your network.

Storage & Backup Integration

RAID and NAS design, snapshot schedules, and image-level backups to local and offsite targets so a failed drive or ransomware incident does not become a business outage.

Ongoing Administration

Patch management, health monitoring, capacity planning, and alerting for disk, temperature and service failures, handled before your staff notices a problem.

How a server project works

A clear plan, testing before go-live, and after-hours migration so your team keeps working.

01

Assess

We inventory your current servers, applications, users and storage, and identify risks and bottlenecks.

02

Design

You get a written plan covering hardware, virtualization layout, security settings, backup and cost.

03

Build & Migrate

We build and test in advance, then migrate data and applications after hours to avoid downtime.

04

Document & Support

You receive full documentation, admin credentials in a secure vault, and ongoing support options.

Security built in, not bolted on

  • Separate admin and day-to-day accounts
  • Multi-factor sign-in for remote access
  • Full-disk encryption on servers and backups
  • Automatic patching with tested maintenance windows
  • Firewall rules limited to required services
  • Event logging and alerting for failed sign-ins

Servers pair naturally with our network infrastructure and backup and disaster recovery services, so the whole stack is designed together.

Server FAQ

It depends on your workload. Imaging files, large shared folders, line-of-business databases and camera recordings often run faster and cheaper on a local server, while email and office apps are usually best in the cloud. We review what you run today and recommend the mix that fits your budget and performance needs.
We build and manage hosts on Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESXi and Proxmox VE. For most small offices we recommend a single well-specified host running several virtual machines, with backups that can restore a full machine quickly.
Yes. We start with an audit of the hardware, operating system, user accounts, shares, backups and patch level, document what we find, and then fix the highest-risk items first so nothing breaks during the handover.
Hardening covers removing unused services and accounts, enforcing strong admin credentials and multi-factor sign-in where supported, applying security baselines, restricting remote access, enabling disk encryption, configuring logging, and keeping firmware and operating system patches current.
Once hardware arrives, a typical small-office server is built, configured and tested in our lab before go-live. Migration of data and applications is scheduled after hours to keep disruption to a minimum.
